In your instructions, you say ‘place the 2 files in your computer’. But isn’t it supposed to be saved in SD card ‘cos when in recovery mode how can you install from SD card if the 2 files are in computer?
Or did I miss some pre-requisite? Secondly, in my Desire V when in recovery mode, I don’t see ‘install zip from SD card’. Instead I have to volume up + power, in order to get to secondary menu in recovery mode which contains following options, – reboot system now – apply update from external storage – wipe data/factory reset – wipe cache partition – apply update from cache When I select ‘apply update from external storage’ (which I assume is the closest definition to ‘install zip from SD card’), the command prompt says ‘invalid operation’ & starts phone on normal mode.
