TrainPlayer 3.2 is a very cool Software that allows you to design different railroads, track plans and more. Using this Software, you will be able to see how your trains move forward on your own created.
As I'd said I purchased the game three weeks ago at target. It was in the rack of old games that were cheaper. I recieved a front fold, CD case sized fold open front box that contained a plastic CD case containing 3 CDs. There is only the box, the CD case and the CDs. I have read the manual through the start menu.
But it is not there either. I think maybe the discount purchase means I don't get a serial number. Is that possible? Obviously, I dont know what happened. I have heard of instances where an item such as a video game that can be registered, has in fact been registered, and then returned to the seller. I only have the two mentioned versions of Trainz, and if either number had been removed, such as scraped off, there may be evidence of that.
Does there appear to be evidence of a sticker being removed? I guess it could be completely removed with stuff such as GOO-OFF.
I think you can play the game, but you wont be able to download all of the wonderful free goodies. Maybe some old-timer will know if the number is buried somewhere on the CD. There are no marks of damage anywhere on the case and the plastic software seal was unbroken when I bought it. I don't see how they could get the number off the plastic case without opening or damaging the paper/cardboard sealed package. The only thing could be it never made it onto the case at the factory!!
I don't know, so I'm asking. Does Driver Edition have access to the download station, or is it a standalone? Is there anyone here who has Driver Edition, and if so, where is the serial number located? I would be inclined to contact the helpdesk and ask for assistance. Cheers Brian. Which is why I'm trying so hard to figure this out. I have always been a model train collector and although don't have the space to set it up. I have Hundreds of cars.
So finding this game was great. I played every night until I found I wanted new content. I was also a model railroader.
Nothing serious, never a collector. I stumbled upon TRAINPLAYER. I toyed with it, and thought to myself 'Boy it would be nice to have a '2 dimensional' type of set-up. TRAINPLAYER has rectangles representing trains. Some nice layouts for a model railroader, such as the Westcott 101 Plans. But it has these rectangles representing rolling stock going around the layouts. I got on Google, searched, and here I am one year later.
To me, this is the best thing since sliced bread. I thoroughly enjoy it, and would recommend it to anyone who ever thought about a railroading 'hobby'. You can build and destroy at a moments notice, and it doesn't cost cookie jar money. I am a happy camper.:wave. I don't know, so I'm asking.

Since it's a slimmed down version they can't access the DLS. Alan also mentions this here (Dave. I sure wish it said something about that in or on the box.
I would have purchased a copy that would let me download. At least not waisted hours trying to figure out why I didn't have a serial number. The back of my box says FUN Guaranteed Love it or we repace it. I love it but have to buy another copy.
This 'slimmed down' version has made me purchase more ram, Pay to have internet, and now forcing me to spend more if I wish to continue playing. I feel like I took my love of trains to the Jiffy lube for an oil change and had my engine rebuilt, tranny replaced and new brakes all the way around. But my axle snapped pulling into my driveway. Does it display a build number on its opening screen or menu screen?

If so, and that number is 3104, then it is as Brian (OzBoz) says - you can't access Download Station with it. If it displays any other build number let us know what it is and someone might be able to provide some information about what it can and cannot do. If you want to explore another version, I would advise you to opt for TRS2004 or TRS2006. Opinions differ regarding which is the better version but both are ok. You might be able to find one or the other of these on sale at a reasonable price in a physical or online shop.
