I was writing to them, killing them and waitin till them come still and still coming for more than hour. I decided to bring some justice and repair system in this game. Ive killed all bots and waitin for them on spawn spot. 10k Infamy, 820 disciplinary. Owners of bots came and killed me instantly.- I was in jail and im out of game for 2 days coz of debuffs.
Really support pls do something with this. Economy is disturbed coz of 10 characters of the same player botting plants and selling them for lowest prices. Normal players are useless now for craft and earning moneys. If u dont want to delete and ban bots by yourself just let to do this players like me. It would be so easy to get rid of the majority of bots if someone at age of wushu disables the map's auto harvesting feature.
I don't program or have done much of it, but I do know the underlying systems and how they work because I've run game servers and one of my responsibilities was disabling bots. Any bot program works on 'If, then' conditions and acts on them. The reason botting in games like WoW are difficult is because there are too many 'If' conditions to fill, and also many then conditions. AOW is insanely easy to build a macro for. Hell I could do it right now and it would go something like this. Press M, Move mouse to coordinates (Whatever mining/wood/herb node) Click on node.
Delay 5 minutes.Auto repeat over 9000 times. If you remove the map auto harvesting click feature, then it would be SOOO much harder to make bots and in addition, and the bots wouldn't be reliable at all. Disabling the autofind feature more much complicated. It would require scanning current screen for patters, such as pallete of colors or text, but even then it's incredibly variable and hard because the nodes spawn in different places and areas and sometimes with even bush.
Even if a bot could detect it correctly it also would require moving to positions and right clicking on the node, which is easily skewed off by elevation or environmental variables. TURN OFF AUTO FIND and AUTO HARVEST. Who thought this was a good idea?

This may hurt new players more, but if you made it a level 10 requirement WITH school (level 20 without) and ban actively.you'd raise the bar of time it takes to bot and therefore make it less profitable. You need to hit them where it hurts and that's on time management (aka - profits).
Successful anti-botting and gold selling is all about making the system so cumbersome that it's not profitable. Granted, legit players end up as collateral damage, but the problems are so severe here that I think I'd sign up for a little collateral damage. They see me in your base.stealing your women! Wednesday. At the time I played for a month or 2 just after release it was infested with hackers, which was a shame as it was a fun game. I really liked the whole kidnapping theme where you could attempt to kidnap players, who when not in game get assigned NPC jobs and you could kidnap them to sell for money.

But the game was full of bots who would kidnap players and teleport away so there was little you could do to stop. If a non hacking player tried kidnap and you witnessed it you could attempt to stop them by attacking them (it was full open pvp) and gain a reward yourself if you beat them. The farming was fun too as you would have a lot of battles over the much needed farming spots in towns, one time in a little area where you grew silk worms just outside of a town I had a 30 minute pvp fight with a guy over the spot because we both wanted to grow our worms.
It's the very definition of P2W. Plus the all the hackers and botters left unchecked (Though now it's a lot better compared to Day 1) pretty much goes unpunished. The thing is both of these games have matured by now and there is an alpha guild in every sever (both Age of Wulin and Age of Wushu.) If you are not with them, then you'll have pretty bad time avoiding them. That said if you enjoy the game, go ahead. At least give it a try since it's free. When deciding between Age of Wushu or Age of Wulin, the consideration is where do you live? Ping is #1 in this game so choose the one that gives you better connection.
I miss the premise of this game. Aside from the comments about P2W and botting, which is annoying in ANY game, there were some other things I grew to dislike about the game. Please note, this is going back over two years (I played maybe for about 6 months from launch), so some things MAY have changed. While I enjoyed the 'learning' mini-game system, and the PvP mechanics, the kidnapping, the farming, and some of the early dungeons (since they were 'new' to me), it became a GRIND. When you get to tier 4 (if I recall correctly), you had to grind items to compile the books you needed to learn your tier 4 skills.
This was got from pretty much the same dungeon OVER AND OVER. The grind itself wouldn't have bothered me except that it was repetitive; same dungeon, same mobs, OVER AND OVER AGAIN.
And it was hard. Now, I believe they opened up tier 5 and maybe higher by this point (if there was one). But the thought of doing that over and over for tier 4 with the likelihood that it would be the same for tier 5 turned me off. I don't mind a grind, I just detest stupid grinds. And that was one stupid grind. Sorry if it's changed, because these days, with all of our shitty options, I would like to go back to Wushu. However, if it's dominated by an alpha guild (nightmares of Arche Age), then I don't see myself doing it.
And by the way, yeah, I bought gold several times. Once I got caught and suffered like a 48 hour suspension while I haggled my way back in. By letting them take the gold I bought AND buying some of their gold.
