I am not a Black Keys fan. This is based on listening to an earlier album in the car (someone in the car pool brought it along) that sounded like bluesy/rap for the first half and really boring rap with the same beat that I've noticed on rap tunes from many other artists for the entire second half. It's like they ran out of ideas and just borrowed a beat or something. Seriously, if it wasn't someone else's CD, it would have ended it's life on the highway that day. Sorry, fans - my opinion. But now I've been hearing Lonely Boy just about everywhere, including just after they scored a goal! Soooooo, my questions.

As someone from Cleveland, I was turned on to the Keys early on and have had a chance to see them at small clubs. Unlike some local friends, I really liked their evolution with Attack & Release and Brothers. My impression of the new one, however, is that it is their attempt at arena rock-kind of like Elephant by the Stripes. Both of these bands deserve the chance to play arenas, so have at it, just don't expect me to attend.

Although I don't listen to El Camino much at all, it is nice to hear the new songs played at parties, on commercials, and even on Clear Channel.
